Christmas Outreach Events

Did you know that $8 is enough to provide a child in Cambodia with a backpack and school supplies for the upcoming 2025 school year. And believe it or not, that backpack can make all the difference in a child’s education for that year.

This Christmas season we will be going to 2 different churches in a local village to help share the good news that brings great joy. Our students work hard all year learning about Christ, serving in their communities, and studying at their universities to become who God created them to be.

Yet something special happens during the Christmas season. Each year, here in Cambodia, people become more aware of the Christmas season. They see not only the commercialism that is spreading through Cambodia but also the way the Christians celebrate this time of year, providing a curiosity that lends towards sharing the good news that brings great joy.

As a ministry, we take full advantage of the opportunities this time of year provides. Our students and I will be partnering with 2 local churches to put on a huge Christmas outreach event. We will sing songs, play games, put on a skit, and share the Christmas story with everyone there. The crowds that come to these events are staggering and we easily expect 200 or more children at each event. God uses these events to connect the local children to the churches and the ministries that happen all throughout the year. This is how children come to hear about a God who created them, loves them, and has a plan for their lives.

We not only want to meet their spiritual needs, we also want to provide a small gift that truly impacts their life. For many children, the simple ability to have school supplies to bring to their school is a luxury that they don’t have. So, each holiday season we make sure to provide each child with a backpack filled with school supplies that enables them to have all they need for the school year.
